‘Putting the customer first’ with Auto Glass Now’s Trevion Stamps
Trevion Stamps grows from Technician to Shop Manager at Auto Glass Now through hard work, support for his team, and treating everyone with respect.

Trevion Stamps found success because he comes to work every day as a true team player. That team-first approach showed up long before he discovered his career in auto glass.
Before his current role, Trevion explored landscaping and mechanics, collecting several certifications along the way. A mechanical interest naturally led him to the auto glass industry, where he learned precision glass installation and how to work effectively with customers.
Trevion launched his career at Auto Glass Now almost three years ago as a technician. Noticed early on for his solid work ethic, he earned a quick promotion to Shop Manager in Westland, Michigan.
On accepting the leadership position, Trevion shared, “I’ll admit it was intimidating at first to think about taking on more responsibility, but I took the shot because I’m always looking to take on new challenges and learn more than I did before.”
Growing personally and professionally
Within Auto Glass Now, Trevion is known for stepping up with his team and for generating new partnerships across the Detroit area. In fact, his team of seven employees just celebrated a major sales accomplishment last year.
Trevion believes this was only made possible by his team’s ability to grow and work together effectively.
Not too long ago, it was just Trevion and two other team members. On top of his new management responsibilities, he pulled his weight by helping on installations, filling in when people were absent, and upskilling team members who hadn’t learned a particular task.
But Trevion understood that learning new skills goes both ways.
“Everybody on my team has a different skill just like I do,” he said. “So, if there's something that I don't know, they help me, and vice versa. I don’t mind when someone on my team schools me on some things that I don't know.”
The willingness to learn from people, and in turn, teach them what he knows, is one of his key leadership qualities.
Trevion also credits Auto Glass Now for giving him the opportunity to improve his non-technical skills. Working on time management and effective communication helped him further grow in his new role.
“I’m learning that having patience and understanding is important. Everyone goes through something, so giving them leeway and understanding their unique situation helps."
Getting it right the first time makes a difference
To Trevion, another key to his team’s success is taking pride in their work. Part of his style is to put the customer first and to treat their property as if it was their own. He’s seen this method pay off by preventing complaints before they start and promptly resolving any difficulties that arise.
He finds the best way to fix any problems is to honestly explain what happened in a straightforward way, and then do what it takes to make it right.
“On my team, we all live by the understanding that when you do it right the first time, you don't have to do it again,” he emphasized. “At the end of the day, it's our name, and I don't want to do anything that'll jeopardize our good reputation.”
The formula works. Positive feedback for his team’s work just keeps coming, and that generates more good online reviews: “People really love coming here. That’s eye opening to see the impact my team has.”
Respecting others means getting respect in return
As Trevion has settled into his own style of management, he’s found that a personal approach based on respect for everyone (on his team and shop customers) fits him best.
For him, respect means also valuing work life balance. Whether it’s readily approving team members’ vacation requests or pitching in to get the work done, his team notices his strong character and leadership.
He said, “I support my team, and I’ve found that means they support me right back.”
Looking ahead to a bright future
Thinking about what he’s achieved so far with Auto Glass Now, Trevion chalks it up to building on his core technical and interpersonal skills he’s honing, keeping a positive mindset, and believing in himself. As he looks forward, he is excited for continued growth both with his team and his family, as he and fiancé plan to get married and buy a home later this year.
“Taking pride in my work gave me a leg up,” he said. “I had confidence in myself that I could take on challenges and do them to the best of my ability.”
