At Driven Brands, franchises are more than just a business venture – they are a family. In her role as Marketing Manager for CARSTAR Canada, Oghogho Oteju works with more than 300 franchise families to help them build brand awareness and position themselves as community leaders.

Driven Brands franchise owners receive support from marketing experts like Oghogho, including integration into national marketing programs, local marketing initiatives, and customization of strategies that add value to their business. However, watching each franchise grow is not the most rewarding part of the job for Oghogho; it’s seeing the family dynamics that develop in the process.

“I find it inspiring that we all see ourselves as one big family,” she explains. “We’re here to support each other and help each other grow.”

One of the most impactful ways she sees that happen is through franchises pooling resources to raise money for cystic fibrosis research. This specific fundraising idea started with one franchisee owner, whose granddaughter was diagnosed with the disease. Oghogho says, “Knowing that our neighboring stores came together to help raise funds for that grandchild is really inspiring.” Embedded content: https://vimeo.com/812483946/e9d812f1fc?share=copy

To her, this highlights how franchisees trust each other and have a genuine desire for the entire CARSTAR Canada family to grow. That is what keeps Oghogho excited to show up for work everyday: the ability to implement new programs and innovative ideas to support franchise families.
